Graves Cemetery

Today is: part of MOGenWeb

This cemetery is located high on a hill near the intersection of Howe and Lexington Roads - off Route O. As you look to the NW from that intersection you will see a single white monument at the top of the hill in a tattered looking group of trees. Stay out of the planted field as you move along the fence line. You will come to a path worn between the rock outcroppings that leads to the top of the hill. There is about a 15 foot drop on the west side of the hill where erosion has eaten away at the cemetery; some of the tomstones have fallen over the edge and are now at the bottom of the drop. It's a beautiful location for a final resting place.
